Ryan Johnson's journey has been shaped by his lived experiences and the adversity he has encountered throughout his journey.
Those experiences have given Ryan a deeper understanding of the challenges people can face, the importance of being heard and supported, and the areas where he believes more can be done within society.
They have also shaped the values at the heart of his work: empathy, fairness, justice and equality.
Ryan believes that every person deserves to be treated with dignity, regardless of their circumstances or where they are in life. He believes positive change begins when people recognise what is missing, care about others and take action.
That belief became part of the purpose behind Set Apart Initiative.
What began with a message of individuality and purpose is being developed into something broader — a platform using products, content, education, community and future initiatives to encourage people, create meaningful connections and contribute to positive change.
